最近在上海东方体育中心举行了第14界世界泳联锦标赛，每天晚上电视里也一直播放着赛事的实况转播。

所以，今天我就把赛事的主题单词搬上课堂作为课外拓展教学的部分，非常有意思。

• FINA(International Swimming Federation)was opened on Shanghai Oriental sport center on July.16th,2011.
• FINA are hold once every two years.
• FINA has five events，they are/国际泳联锦标赛共有5大比赛项目，他们是：

Swimming游泳

Diving跳水

Water ballet花样游泳

Water Polo水球

Open water公开水域

• Next, let’s talk about the Swimming Strokes and Events  :/接下来，我们来说说具体的游泳姿势/比赛项目吧：

1. Butterfly 蝶泳

2. Breaststroke 蛙泳

                3. Backstroke 仰泳

4. Freestyle 自由泳/Freestyle relay 自由泳接力

6. Individual Medley 个人混合泳/Medley Relay 混合接力泳:

**In medley swimming events, swimmers covers the four swimming strokes in the following order: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle. Each of the strokes must cover one quarter (1/4) of the distance.(在混合泳项目中，选手要依次接力游蝶泳，仰泳，蛙泳和自由泳这四组比赛项目，而且每种泳姿必须游同等的距离。)

Q: Can you do butterfly(2/3/4) ?        A: Yes, I can.

Q: Who teaches you the backstroke?  A: My father.
